My journal of my battle with Crohns disease. I have had Crohn's diagnosed since September 2007. In that time I've been through two surgeries, two colonoscopies, and tons of good and bad times. I want to share my experiences with this disorder and hope to hear some feedback from time to time.

It sucks to watch yourself melt/waste away.   This morning, 145 pounds.  At my doctor appointment last week, 150.   Around eight months ago, 220.  I'm not doing anything special to lose the weight.  It's just the latest way Crohn's is messing with my life.

Right now, I have no appetite.   I don't get hungry anymore.  This freaks me the f out.  I force myself to eat everyday.  When I do, I can only take a few bites.   After the food, I always  feel like throwing up, which I have been doing a lot of lately.

Oh, and the cramps! They are freaking horrible.  They hit me when I'm on the toilet (that's when they are worse), or just sitting around.  They happen in the lower part of my abdomen.   I wish I could find a good way of making them stop when they start, or dealing with the pain.  When the cramps hit, I try deep breathing, but I don't know if that really helps.

My GI doc wants me to try Humira.  I'm hoping this helps out, but we will see.

Thank for reading.
