My journal of my battle with Crohns disease. I have had Crohn's diagnosed since September 2007. In that time I've been through two surgeries, two colonoscopies, and tons of good and bad times. I want to share my experiences with this disorder and hope to hear some feedback from time to time.

Today Was a Good Day

Thursday, February 11, 2010
Went through a day with hardly any pain. It started off with my girlfriend surprising with breakfast. Not only that, she was able to spend the day with me. With my best friend around, it seemed like the day flew by.

I work from home for a financial company and this time of year is usually super stressful because of taxes. Today however, was easy and the clients were patient and nice. By the time afternoon came around, she had already started on dinner

The meal she made today was yummy, and very easy on my stomach. Baked chicken breast, roasted carrots, potatoes, and celery, rice, and green beans. Nothing fatty or oily.

The other thing that made the day great was my main issue with crohns. The bathroom. I had to go just like any other day, but today I didn't suffer from any cramps, and I went early in the day. Usually I go around 11 or 12 at night and I'm sitting in pain before bed, but today I went early enough I could enjoy my evening.

It's funny that a good day in my life now depends on what time I go to the bathroom. I hope you all had a great day as well.
