My journal of my battle with Crohns disease. I have had Crohn's diagnosed since September 2007. In that time I've been through two surgeries, two colonoscopies, and tons of good and bad times. I want to share my experiences with this disorder and hope to hear some feedback from time to time.

Another Monday in the Bag

I am glad it's over. Mondays are my least favorite day. You are tired from the weekend, and have to get back into the swing of things. But this week started with a holiday so it wasn't to bad.

I work from home, so I just have to travel from the bed to desk when it is time to go to work. I woke up an hour earlier by accident, and couldn't go back to sleep. So I took an early shower. As soon as work started, I had a two hour meeting. I love morning meetings. Easy for me to focus on and take great notes.

When I have my first break I usually eat my breakfast. Today, I decided to eat the gluten free Rice Chex with lactose free milk. The bowl of cereal was light and didn't bother my stomach too much.

Since it was President's Day, I didn't have to deal with too many clients, but the few that I did help were very nice and had easy things to deal with. It's tax time, and everyone is just looking for tax forms.

I had leftover steak soup with vegetables like corn and celery for lunch. Those vegetables are one that usually give me trouble. I've always had trouble with digesting corn, but celery gives me trouble now. It's all the plant fibers in the celery. This meal was a little more heavies and I could feel all of the rumbles in my stomach mid-afternoon.

I finished out work around 4:30 and laid down for while. It felt like I had cramps, but I didn't have to go to the restroom.

For dinner, I had the thing I love but sometimes leads to pain. McDonald's. I had the chicken nuggets. I usually don't feel bad after those like I would a burger, but tonight it has my stomach turning flips.

So that's where I am right now. Stomach hurting, feeling bloated, and about to visit the crohn's throne. Oh, and I have to use the rough toilet paper we have. Here we go.
