My journal of my battle with Crohns disease. I have had Crohn's diagnosed since September 2007. In that time I've been through two surgeries, two colonoscopies, and tons of good and bad times. I want to share my experiences with this disorder and hope to hear some feedback from time to time.

Someone to talk to

Monday, October 26, 2009
I don't have anyone in my real life that has crohns, so I don't have anyone to joke with face to face.  There are times that I wish I had a buddy with the disease, but I wouldn't really wish that on anyone.  I just want a person to bounce stuff off of.

I'm part of tons of forums, and social sites like twitter, but with a person I would ask questions like such as:

Do you ever have to run to the bathroom?  I do, every time I get near the restroom at home, there is something in my mind that says "Time to go, NOW!"

What kind of pain are you feeling?

Do you suffer from crazy hiccups like I do?  I don't know if they are related to crohns, but I get them like crazy now.

Let's compare scars.  Although, mine really aren't in a place meant for showing.

You know, I would have a tons of question like that.  I need a bud.

Hi! I'm Matt and am actually starting my blog about my experience with Crohn's as well. I have been through everything in the past 12+ years of having the disease. If you would like to talk sometime stop by my page I am subscribing to your blog and will follow yours, but I know how tough it is to deal with Crohn's at first. I hope to hear from you soon and hope you are doing well!!!

Hello. I've had Crohn's for 18 years [I'm 21 now] and I've never met anyone with Crohn's either. I know you said that you were a member of a bunch of furums, such as twitter.. but I didn't know if that meant that you just came across random people on there who have CD or if there was like, a CD group. Anyway, you might check out if you haven't done so already. The only people on there are people who have CD or UC [Ulcertive Colitis, which is a very similar disease] Anyway, it's really great. Everyone on there gets everything you are going through, and you can ask questions about your disease, find out what other people have tried.. ect. Anyway, best of luck with your health!!
